Mill Plain Children's Academy, formerly known as Children’s Village Day School, opened in Vancouver WA in 1995. The Mill Plain Children’s Academy has been owned and operated privately by the same proprietors. The owners pride themselves on seeing children in their twenties that fondly remember their early years of discovery and activities. The owner’s goal has always been to make available the best childcare at affordable prices.

Our Program

Our program is open to children ages 12 months through 12 years. We have each classroom set up for each group or class of children depending on their particular age. In grouping children we use, their social, emotional, physical and language development as well as their chronological age to determine the best appropriate class for them. In each classroom we strive to develop a child’s fine & gross motor skills, their listening and speaking skills, their sense of self and social behavior and cognitive development.

 Both have my kids attended MPCA for over a year, and we've truly enjoyed the time spent. The staff, lead by Ms. Sheila, are all fantastic. It is apparent that they truly care for the children and have high regard to their safety and well being. Whenever an issue has arisen, Ms. Sheila and the team have been fabulous about communicating quickly and effectively towards a resolution.

 Best daycare in Vancouver super caring staff that treats your kids with love and respect! Mrs. Sheila makes sure of it. This is the daycare I hope my three kids will be at until they are old enough to be on their own. My son was diagnosed with a rare cancer and I’ve had nothing but support from all that works there. They are so amazing! 

 We’ve had a great experience here the last 2 years. My son went from crying everyday at drop off and pickup at his old daycare, to giving his teachers and friends hugs hello and goodbye at this school. We can see the difference in how much he’s opened up and how much he’s learned on a regular basis. 
